Teasing ahead of his album Bleeds, Roots Manuva , a.k.a Rodney Smith, shares his new single “Don’t breathe out”, a Barry White-sampling, ‘neo-spiritual rare groove’.

This track is filled with gospel & soul influences, and amazing lyrics.
It’s safe to say that Roots Manuva has very much still got it!

He premiered this new single yesterday, september 22, via The Guardian.
So, the track is taken from his new album Bleeds coming on October 30 via Big Dada.
Roots Manuva – the godfather of UK hip-hop and self-described “British Black musical Mark Rothko” – is one of the cornerstones of UK Hip Hop, having released his debut album Brand New Second Hand back in 1999.
Bleeds ends a period of relative silence from the artist over the last four years and follows on from 2011’s 4everevolution. Smith has also enlisted the help of Four Tet,Adrian Sherwood, Switch and a young British producer called Fred.
